Returns an AQL expression that checks if the left operand is not equal to the right operand.

Returns an AQL expression that checks if the left operand is not equal to the right operand.

notEqual(mixed $leftOperand, mixed $rightOperand) : string

Equivalent to the ArangoDB != comparison operator.

Example:

  • 2 != 3 returns true
  • 2 != 2 returns false
Parameters
$leftOperand : mixed

The left-hand value or expression.

$rightOperand : mixed

The right-hand value or expression to compare against.
